This protector is perfect and fits great, its stays in place better than any other one on the market ad you can't argue the price for what you're getting. The sizing is more relative to the outside fitment instead of the "contents" it will protect. I am 5'4" at 155 lbs and originally bought a medium, but medium was too bulky to go under a Gi or bjj shorts (but over top my compression shorts) to maneuver in while also having an unsightly although flattering un-ignorable profile...so I bought a small sized which fits much better. When used under compression shorts it fits a little more properly, which is how I run the small. I hadn't tried the medium that way however based on the comparison with small sized, it still would be too bulky. Overall though, just ask questions and reference sizing, I still highly recommend over any other on the market as it stays in place, very supportive, and very protective especially at the value.
This works well. Fits great on top or under shorts. Adjustable for very skinny to the other end of the spectrum. Doesn't hinder mobility. I own the compression shorts with the sock pocket for the cup by a Shocking PHd to not name the brand. Also a metal cup from Cageside which is max protection but can become uncomfortable when it thongs but sometimes I do favor protection. This is my go to. I can pull it right over my shorts (or quickly under) and get right into sparing and I don't even notice it
